August Photo Challenge

The month of August is typically a show month for family photos.  Vacations are wrapped up and everyone is focused on back to school.  It seemed like a good time to challenge myself with a photography project.  I'm part of a local photography Meetup and they had a "Photo a Day" Project in August.  The rules were simple.  Take a new photo every day and share it in the group.  With the pandemic still ongoing it was extra challenging since I mostly took photos at home.  You can only photograph so many flowers in your yard!  I tried new lighting and photography techniques and tried to be creative.  Luckily I visited my family in Indiana for a couple weeks which helped spark my creativity.  I froze motion and played around with splash photography, food photography, and managed to get some interesting photos of the Milky Way. And it was hard to be creative EVERY DAY.  In fact there were 4-5 days where I didn't get around to photographing anything.  On those days I edited something from another day. But everything here was taken in the month of August. Here are the photos:
